Sheepdog Police Lapel Microphones Product Description The Sheepdog-11QD Quick Release Police Lapel Microphone is a rugged, professional, public safety-grade audio accessory, designed with law enforcement officers (LEOs) in mind. Because portable radio communications are critical, the Sheepdog-11QD police mic earpiece is equipped with a Dual-Switch Technology (DST) push to talk. This design utilizes two independent PTT switches to ensure the push-to-talk (PTT) button is engaged no matter where the button is being pressed. The push to talk is rubberized and large enough to allow for use with gloves. The Quick Disconnect (QD) adapter's "push-pull" design allows for easy attachment and quick release. The wired surveillance microphone can be released from adapter without disconnecting adapter from portable radio or pack set. With wire kit disconnected and adapter still attached to radio, police officers will be able to transmit and receive normally via the radio's PTT, front panel mic and built-in speaker. No need to remove adapter for officer or agent to utilize normal radio functions. The Sheepdog's rugged poly-carbonate microphone housing is tough and the microphone is directional and noise reducing. Inside the microphone housing is a high-quality electret condenser microphone and noise reducing mic element to produce superior transmit audio.
